Hi guys,
Finally made it. Been really swamped lately sorry. Just to add to this, a few things I was thinking about:
I originally had this YouTube idea for you guys. Thinking I would be camera and sound (which I probably WILL still be). However, if you think we would be better served with me being more involved on camera, that is ok with me as well. I just don't want you guys to think I need to be on screen. Open to discussion!
This ties into what Tony was saying: I don't think there is any argument that Dan is BY FAR the most creative and imaginative of us here. (Oh author my author) :) So while I do have ideas, as I'm sure Tony does, we should realize most of the 'meat' will probably come from Dan, which I am totally great with, as I'm sure Tony is, however I do NOT want you (Dan) to feel like you are being overwhelmed and have to do it all! As Tony said, I can and am willing to take direction! I'm just unfortunately not that damn creative!
I am fine with any Title we can all agree on. YouTube Sensations is fine. If we come up with something different, that's fine too.
Thinking back to our meeting, I know Dan had mentioned it would be better perhaps if we didn't film like we knew the cameras were there.
I've been thinking alot about this. I do think it would be funny if we filmed it the other way as well. Meaning, we are aware the camera's are filming. This opens up alot of things:
The tagline or 'summary' of the show/series could be (cue cheesy typical voiceover guy lol), "Watch as we follow 2 (or 3) regular Joe's in their quest for YouTube stardom. You'll hear their ideas…encounter their roadblocks…learn knew things…laugh….cry….and you just, may, shit yourself as you ride along on their journey to become: YouTube Sensations!"
This also means we could actually film our first soundtest. (we would have to reproduce it obviously). Why not, It's one of the things/stepping stones we encounter along the way. We could then integrate at least partially, that gag we talked about with the no sound going and us talking in the background. Now that is funny! Besides the fact that this makes content for us. It's actually us filming what we would normally be doing to achieve our viral aspirations.
I've probably forgotten a lot more than I've written here, but I'm sure it will come back to me at some point.
